Ms. Sakia HAQUE
Bangladesh I, Dr. Sakia Haque, have completed my graduation from Dhaka Medical College. I run an Organization named Travelettes of Bangladesh, which currently has 33,000 female members. Our motto is to empower women through travelling. I must add, I am the first woman to travel all across the country on a motorcycle. We interacted with 40,000 young girls on our way and talked about their menstrual health and conducted a workshop on self-defense. Our project is a nonprofit one and has been praised by many. We received the Joy Bangla youth award 2018, a very prestigious youth award around the country.
Ms. Dishani SENARATNE
Sri Lanka My name is Dishani Senaratne and I’m from Sri Lanka. I’m the Project Director of Writing Doves, a non-profit initiative which aims to publish a trilingual collection of children’s stories to promote intercultural understanding. This project is funded by the US Embassy in Sri Lanka as part of the Small and Mighty Grant Competition, administered by Sarvodaya (Sri Lanka’s most broadly embedded community-based development organization network). Previously, I taught English at a state university in Sri Lanka. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka while I read for my Master’s degree in Linguistics at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. I’m also a published poet and a short-story writer.
Ms. Shabana MAHFOOZ
Pakistan I am a freelance journalist with experience in broadcast journalism. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in finance. I have some experience in the field of education as well and have conducted research in preschool education. Currently, I am engaged in trainings and workshops in journalism as well as in contribution of articles, columns and news features to local newspapers and magazines and also a foreign publication. I have keen interest in and write on issues related to women, society, religion and history. On the personal side, I am married with two sons.  
Ms. Sushmita MANANDHAR
Nepal I am Sushmita Manandhar, and a mother of a 12-year-old daughter. I had a long history working with the political parties, party women wings, civil society organizations of my country, Nepal. I worked for US based international organization, the National Democratic Institute for International Organization, (NDI) working to strengthen democracy worldwide, for almost 18 years. I have worked with women at the national level to the grass roots level. I have experience in designing, planning and executing various programs. Organized, facilitated and interpreted many workshops, trainings, Training of Trainers (ToT), seminars to the party women wings. Out of 77 districts, I have travelled to 67 districts with the women wings members by organizing and providing trainings on women empowerment. I left my job in April 2017, and have been doing freelancer consultancy for Danish Institute for Parties and Democracy (DIPD) and Management Services for Health (MSH). I enjoy working with women and love to travel.
