Women Today : Reviewing the 20-Year History of Women in Asian Breeze contains a series of essays titled "Women Today" carried at the beginning of the periodic journal Asian Breeze, published by the Kitakyushu Forum on Asian Women (KFAW).
The booklet contains all the essays from the first issue published in March 1991 to the latest, the 58th issue released in March 2010.
The authors of "Women Today" comprise opinion leaders and specialists in gender-related studies. From global perspectives, 54 eminent individuals in and outside Japan have contributed these essays. They inspire readers to review and reconsider important issues in our daily lives. The booklet editors do not alter individual's title or positions, as mentioned in the original essays.
The year 2010 marks the 20th anniversary of Asian Breeze, which was first issued in 1991. Reviewing the history of Asian Breeze, we can also reflect upon the path of the Kitakyushu Forum on Asian Women (KFAW) and our activities.
On the 20th anniversary of Asian Breeze, KFAW has renewed its resolve to provide readers with even more inspiring articles from global perspectives through our efforts to strengthen our partnerships with the City of Kitakyushu, the United Nations and other related organizations in and outside Japan.
