Sakia Haque   Bangladesh Dr. Sakia Haque is a social activist and co-founder of Travelettes of Bangladesh, a women-led platform with more than 85,000 members dedicated to empowering women through travel. She is known for undertaking a motorcycle journey across Bangladesh, reaching over 40,000 girls through awareness sessions on menstrual health, self-defense, and gender equality.
Nishat Taslin Mohana   Bangladesh Ms. Nishat Taslin Mohona is an educator and researcher committed to creating positive social change. She believes in the transformative power of education and research and actively advocates for women’s empowerment and social inclusion.
Farin Binta Zahir   Bangladesh Ms. Farin Binta Zahir is an educator with more than 12 years of experience in teaching and information and communication technology (ICT). She contributes to national education initiatives in Bangladesh and actively supports women’s empowerment.
Chayku   Bhutan Mr. Chayku is a former journalist from Bhutan and currently serves as a Student Services Officer at a vocational training provider in Western Australia. Sin Visalsokwatey   Cambodia Ms. Sin Visalsokwatey is a Cambodian public sector professional with a strong interest in social protection, gender equality, health financing, and public policy. She has been actively involved in social security and health financing initiatives in Cambodia while pursuing advanced studies to strengthen her expertise in policy analysis and program management.
Zaynah Shameem   Fiji Ms. Zaynah Shameem is a Payroll Officer at a male-dominated civil engineering firm in Fiji. She has a strong interest in politics, international affairs, women’s issues, gender equality, and social inclusion. She holds a higher education Diploma in Business Management from Fiji National University.
Zafiya Shamim   Fiji Ms. Zafiya Shamim is a communications professional with over a decade of experience in strategic communication, media relations, digital content, and gender mainstreaming policy development. She holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communications with Merit from Liverpool John Moores University, a postgraduate qualification in Gender Studies, and a BA in Journalism and Politics and International Affairs from the University of the South Pacific.
Swapna Majumdar   India Ms. Swapna Majumdar is an award-winning independent journalist specializing in research-based reporting on gender and development issues, including education, health, women’s empowerment and livelihoods, the environment, and climate change. She has also authored a research study for UN Women on widows in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
Jeong Hyomin   Korea Ms. Jeong Hyomin works for a peace-focused global voyage organization and explores social justice and gender equality through community-based travel. Inspired by peace, human rights, and women’s movements, she documents the stories of Asian women while promoting solidarity. She advocates relationship-based travel that values local communities, environmental sustainability, and meaningful connections beyond conventional tourism.
Jawaria Arzoo Kashif   Pakistan Ms. Jawaria Arzoo Kashif is a Lahore-based lawyer specializing in Civil and Family Law. A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association, Lahore Bar Association. She serves on the panel of volunteer lawyers at the Women Protection Centre, Lahore. As a freelance trainer, she provides training on Gender, GBV, Human Rights, and Pro-Women laws, and regularly writes on legal and social issues affecting women, children, and transgender persons.
Shabana Mahfooz   Pakistan Ms. Shabana Mahfooz is an educator based in Lahore, Pakistan, with an extensive background in print and broadcast journalism. She has worked as a Shift In-charge, Quality Supervisor, and Consultant, and has written columns and articles for local and foreign publications. She explores and writes about topics related to societal injustice, women’s rights, and culture.
Lithiana Nondebia   Papua New Guinea Ms. Lithiana Nondebia works with Papua New Guinea’s Department of Personnel Management, supporting the implementation of the National Public Service Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Policy. She works across policy development, project design, budgeting, legislation, and institutional reform to embed gender equity and social inclusion principles as standard practice across systems, programs, and laws, ensuring they deliver fair and inclusive outcomes for men, women, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.
Carmen Ledesma   Peru Ms. Carmen Ledesma holds a Master of International Law and has over 30 years of experience in public policy related to human rights, gender-based violence, trafficking in persons, and women’s economic empowerment. She has expertise in United Nations, Organization of American States, and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation frameworks. She has served as a director and professor in both the public and private sectors, and as Technical Secretary of the Center for Advanced Studies on Gender Violence. She currently researches violence against women.
Dishani Senaratne   Sri Lanka Ms. Dishani Senaratne is a doctoral candidate at the University of Queensland, Australia. She previously taught English at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. She is the Founder and Project Director of Writing Doves, a non-profit initiative that uses a literature-based approach to foster intercultural understanding among young learners in Sri Lanka. In addition to her academic and nonprofit work, she is a published poet, short story writer, and children’s author.
